Dear Infinity Ward pt. II

I still fucking hate Infinity Ward. Not as much as EA games, but my hate is strong.

Since I wrote the first part of this rant, I learned that you can cancel loading of a MP game – by unplugging the Ethernet cable and plugging it back in. Crude, but it works.

I found another untested scenario in COD4 MP. If I exit a MP Sabotage game and then try to join say the same type of game, the server I just exited is selected so fast that I cannot cancel it. This returns me to the same game I just exited.

And there is another brilliant ‘feature’. The first player to join a game can close it down (for the other 11 players) if he exits the game. This leads to games where a team almost wins and then someone as bored as me presses exit and closes the game for everybody. I started doing this every time I spot a game where I am the first, while maniacally laughing just before I do it.
